): wad a day to end my 2006.

realised i misplaced my new super mario bros cartridge yest when i feel like playing it. still cant find up till now. and then i cant fall asleep yest nite, only to slp at abt 4+am, waking up at 6.45am for circuit at 8am. and then i overslept a little and decided to take bus since the instructor is meeting me in the circuit instead. running late thanks to those market-going aunties, so gotta alight and flag a cab there. waited for nearly 10mins without any taxi in sight, but lucky one came and i reached on time.

driving was lousy according to my instructor. couldn't go thru S-course perfectly. kept leaning to the right =/ the others were ok. 1.5 hours today, and i drove till my left leg was trembling and aching. driving out to the road was ok too, but instructor commented that im still quite lousy ):
and i missed my favourite bus on the way back. and gotta bear with fishy smell and B.O on the bus back home. and i dun seem to feel sleepy now despite having the time to slp. hope tonight will turn better so that i can welcome 2007 with a grin :D

bday

suddenly got the sudden urge to blog. heh. very lazy to blog lah. so maybe i shld heed their advise to close this down. hmm. anyway, had a great birthday this year. met with Splat! at holland village and had ipoh horfun cos i've got craving for that.. and we went gelare for ice cream. chatted till 3+ den we decided to go kbox. took a cab there and we sang from 3+ all the way till 9. most hawkers were closed, so we had no choice but to go Kopitiam. just as i was buying popiah, they sprung me a surprise with a bengawan solo light cheesecake! hehheheh. wad a wierd place to celebrate my bday. heh. but thanks alot guys. i didnt have a birthday cake for god knows how long. ha.

went to town late afternoon today for xmas shopping. had chilli crab for lunch at home b4 that. yum! met with kaiqi who was counting taxis at the taxi stand at PS for her proj. after she's done we went to get yan's present so walking and dragging ourselves under the hot and humid weather to town. had a hard time choosing presents for her little cousin. had carbonara at Dome for dinner and we went taka to get Flik Flak. town today was fully packed with last min shoppers like us. damnit. so hot and sticky. and we went BK for a rest while waiting for sher to knock off.

wahaha. and smth funny and guilty happened. we were at the bus stop at ard 1230am and seemed like no more buses will come. so we were thinking of taking a cab. then. 502 came and surprisingly both me and qi were like 'BYEBYE!' while running towards the bus. ha! we weren't supposed to take a bus, duh! and sher was like 'EHH! why lidat!' whahah. classic expression. lol. and we were so guilty after that and qi kept laughing all the way from DFS to wheelock where we finally flagged a cab down. sorry lah sher! we dun mean it k! dun keep saying u're very disappointed in us! wahahah. wad a scene. oh here are the pics we took on my bday.

i was told to blog before splats are going to boycott and burn this stupid blog down. lol. but! wad to blog?? nothing big happened recently wad. my birthday reaching only (hint hint ^^), common test not yet (oh and it happily falls on my bday week ]= ) and erm. nothing leh. haha. except that this week's e-learning and im very comfortable with the time of my alarm- 11am. wahaha. i mean, how many times do i get to wake up so late during sch term? heh. and was slacking at qi's hse these 2 days, watching boring cable tv shows and falling asleep in the sofa bed, only to let her hear my snore while she wanted to ask me qns on her report. hahha.

had a sinful pizza hut lunch, home delivered to her hse just now. no dinner for today. and im still feeling full. hahah. ate 3 pieces of hawaiian supreme chessy lava crust, 5 drumlets and 2 garlic bread. plus 1 cup of pepsi. hahah. tsk tsk tsk.. how to slim down with this kinda diet. hmm. oh! yeah. shir's blog reminded me. the Jurong west sports complex is opened!! ha. go gym there someday.

hmm. let me see wad i have to update. weekends was bored. just work and work and more work. 2-10pm on sat and 7-3pm on sun. and came back home to slp till 7pm on sunday. aha. and no sch today (mon)! hahaha. elaine cheng wasn't free and DT's e-learning. and we postponed HPM's tutorial. hiak hiak. so i met qi at 4+ and took 502 to town. went pacific plaza to get my fossil fixed. warranty is going to end soon. hmph. an den went to far east to get my DS's crystal case! lol. nice.

went bugis after that. met up with jx and yan. cy came and we had dinner at happy pay steamboat. quite awkward at first, but i guess things went smoother at the end of the dinner. quite ex eh. $24 =x

Genting

okok i promised to blog. super lazy to blog nowadays. hmm.

got my DS Lite (finally!) last wednesday, one day b4 i go genting. hehehehe. Brain age! super fun. excited. den came home to fiddle with it. went to sch early morning 8am for my IS. damn boring. and tiring. den off i go to genting!!! it's been 5 years since i last been there. ok lah change quite abit. was given 18 seater seats when departing. damn cool. haha. watched the mahjong movie part 2 and 1 more b4 i fell asleep. but by the time i slp, we're at the foot of the hill alrd. haha. reached there at 3.30am. early rite. haha. den walked all the way from the bus terminal to resort hotel lobby.

damnit i tell u. resort under renovation after they finished genting hotel's. gotta check in at the ballroom. so not nice. den we checked our luggage in at the bell counter and off we go. had breakfast at mac at 4am. haha. super boring. mum and sister went casino and so me and my dad waited at the 'lobby' till 6am when we can start checking in.

first thing we did was to slp! haha. slept till 9+ and woke up to bath and den went to shop ard. genting is damn boring. nth to shop, nth to eat. was forced to shop with my sister when my parents went casino. bought starbucks back to hotel but i shld have bought the after coffee gums too. food were bloody expensive by the way. sucky food, sucky price. only fast food was nice. KFC! shiok. pizza hut sucks too. tried gg casino but nope, i look too young :D

woke up early moring 7+am to catch the first bus to Pasarayak (KL) to shop and to eat. reached there at 11am. ate at the 'chinese village' beside the bus terminal. very nice food! local chinese food but not dirty. haha. den took a cab to Mid Valley. whoa. my mum is very li hai i tell u! her malay is so fluent i cannot believe it! imagine she can converse with the malays in malaysia. and cabbies. whoa! haha. and my dad's cantonese. whooo. almighty in malaysia leh! hahhaa. anyway now is a very good time to shop at mid valley! deepavali + hari raya sale! almost 50% everywhere. saw a nice adidas jacket. but too ex. RM279! cant bear to buy it. that puma polo tee i like too. nv buy also. only bought a levi's red tab and diesel t shirt. hehe. den we rushed and took a cab back to pasarayat to catch the bus back to genting. ta pao their chicken rice back too. super nice! haha. had to rush back to watch Fong Fei Fei's concert at night.

anyway speaking of the concert. super nice lah. although i dun listen to her songs. but she's damn power man. ahaah. alot of uncles and aunties. oh! my mum just told me that my uncle went too but we didnt see him. he took the fri morning coach. haha. after concert me and my dad went back to hotel to slp while my mum and sister went casino again. i slept like almost 24hrs in the 3d2n at genting. haha. slept till 10+am the next day while they all went casino. haha. goes to show how boring is genting. had pizza and checked out and den took bus back to s'pore lo. ahah. reached home at 8.30pm. yeap.

TV, school

i seems to be forgetting tv shows. i'd religiously forget Grey's Anatomy every monday night, and now forgetting Chu Lu on friday nights too. all the shows that gave me a reason to keep that tv in my room year after year. as u can see, tv shows are getting more and more boringgggg. then i realise that the backstage ppl (scriptwriters especially) are now different from the end 1990s- start of 2000s of the times. those ppl must have earned enuf and have retired now. now the only decent show is the 9pm diamond show. haha. channel 8 shld bring back more classics! damn the old cheena shows!


anyway, sch will be starting on monday. argh. dread it. but i kinda miss school days. taking 154 every morning, rushing to buy a bottle of apple tea and den rush to tutorials on the dot, getting tgt with Splat! for lunch whenever possible, chatting as much as possible even though there's only 1 hr of break, crashing lectures, going co-op and spend 10mins there choosing which sweet to buy, and end up buying the same ol' sweet (ricola herb or clorets), going lectures with beak and chatting away at the later part of lect, and of cos going home squeezed in the bus with qi. haha. and now there's Cheers, we can have cup noodles before going home! haha. but we will start to complain once sch starts. wanting a break again. but let's hope we will treasure this semester more cos it will be our last semester. everything will become history after Chinese new year =/

shopping

days are sure boring without having to work. went bugis temple late afternoon with qi and headed to vivocity after that. chey, not very impressed also. lots of shops not opened yet. marks and spencer was great! yah very different theme as compared to the other branches. choco digestives are nice too! enuf to fill our stomach till we take 188 and reach IMM for fish and co. new extended areas are opened. pepper lunch, ajisen, fish and co, mos, giordano, esprit,S&K. tell me, is there any difference with orchard? we concluded today that there's a very big problem with shopping centres. small stores, only the space are different and location different. other than that, nth else. and i canot understand why ppl (including us lah haha) muz go to town area to shop when there's an identical shop nearby us. haha. mentality.

DS Lite!! argh. cant wait cant wait.

i'm in love and crazy with Nintendo DS Lite. haha. tried Brain Age at Courts today. fun!! im bent on getting one b4 i go genting with my family on 19th so i can play on my way there. harvest moon! zoo tycoon! brain age! cant wait to get them. but $. no pay has arrive yet. bleah. muz buy Dome coffee card too. anybody wants to buy? very worth it! for $38, u can get to drink 10 cups of coffee, hot or cold! original price ranges from $4+ to $6! cheap rite? want to buy tell me! (see sher, i so good to u!)

catching up with splat! was great. met at Shaw house's Dome on tuesday after our last day at work. food was great! the combi, tortilla, and banana cake!! nice. and cafe latte was great at only $3.80 (helping to promote again). spent less than 10bucks in total thanks to sher. we didnt see each other for a whole week or so and there were endless of things to talk abt. so we shall have such meetups for 10 times! (the number of cups of coffee u can get with $38 dome card) LOL.

Admin = :(

doing admin isn't really good, especially when this is my first time having such a hard time working. this is worse than imf, worse than giving out flyers. it's not even admin. coolie, ok? sweat, sweat, sweat. work's as hard as typing 's-w-e-a-t'.

jiaxin told us she got in for the 1-week admin job in tuas, and on sunday, the staffinder ppl called me and qi after jx gave our numbers to them. ok, yey, we got a job. gotta reach boonlay interchange area by 7.15am and the company bus will fetch us there. $6 per hour, by the way.

Crane (Resistoflex) reads the factory name. we got no idea wad's the company products. and after a briefing by the financial manager (who's quite nice by the way) and the main purpose of employing us is to help them pack documents by next week so that their ang moh big boss cannot see any glitches when he arrives on wed. and 'long-jiang-pass' between the 3 of us, me and kaiqi gotta go down to the non-airconed warehouse to work. =/ and hence we sweated from day 1 to day 2. OT-ed on day 2. reimburse cab home! the best thing one can get from a company. lol. we did filing, transfer of files and packing them into Crown's boxes to send them away for auditing.

and today! omg. when we tot we can finally work in the air-coned conference room. we gotta run some errands like clearing the dusty storeroom again. hahaha. dripped sweats on the boxes and my whole shirt was literally wet! had fun though. wahahaha. and nearly worked OT. haiz. we always got home dirty and tired. =( pray hard that we can finish everything by fri so we dun have to go back next week. lol.

Post IMF

haha. high time for me to blog. imf finally ended! wahaha. the 10 days were hard work esp first few days. i rmb the first day (or is it second) we were so damn exhausted by the 2 long hours of standing on heels we were sleeping at starbucks! lol. subsequently everything became easier when our shifts were changed to half days. meeting the delegates and imf staff was a very good experience. greeting, welcoming, nod and saying 'morning!' and not forgetting the S2006 SMILE was a routine to anyone that steps in to the hall for whole 10 days.

oh yeah we smiled till our cheeks were stiffened when we took group photos on the last few days. got to noe alot of new friends and fellow volunteers. NP year2 peeps, SMU peeps and SAF ppl, our Floor managers! haha. took photos like i nv took any before, wear heels until i can do catwalk and walk only on the heel itself, broken blisters, 10 days of skirt and blazer, and of cos the cool identification badge we have! hahaha. oh and one more thing. i took photo with my level 6D cute guy! wahahha. pictures later. oh and another charming delegate thanked us and said it was nice meeting us when we were about to leave after the buffet lunch last day. hahah! so fruitful. ang mos are sure different from locals! no local secretaries smiled at us! tsk tsk.

Rotting

had my homecooked dinner today finally after months of MSG-ed outside food. i helped to fry fried rice in the noon for lunch and fried vegetables for my mum for dinner. she simmered herbal chicken (yum!) and slow-cooked pig's stomach soup for dinner. wad a hearty meal. :D

as i grow older, i tend to treasure the time i spend with myself more. by spending time with myself doesn't mean tt i watch movie alone or whatever. it means rotting at home eventfully, cooking my own lunch alone at home and watching my favourite video, travelling to bt gombak alone every thursday for driving lessons and travelling alone back to jurong point to get instant pastas, 'bundaberg' root beer and some munchaways at liberty market alone. how wonderful.

as for today, i rotted my day at home. striked 299 points at a bowling game on playstation, read comics, ate up all coco pops (thanks jx for giving them to me :D) surfed internet and of cos tidied my room, waiting to get boxes from ikea to store my marketing textbooks and notes.

oh and it's 2 days away form imf and 6 days away from results! omgomgomgomg. getting nervous for the release of results and of cos imf! i noe nuts about the facilities at level 6! argh. but that FM quite cute lah. wahahah. ciao! update when imf begins!

Firstly, tributes to mr. croc hunter, Steve Irwin. he was killed by a huge stingray while filming some documentary at great barrier reef =/ wad a sudden news.

Sinful day today. ate alot!! haha. met kaiqi and went beach rd to have lunch. lor mee, prawn paste chicken (cold and oily) and 2 cups of nice 'chin chow' b4 cabbing to kallang bahru to fit my imf uniform. spent quite some time there as the staff there seemed quite disorganized. didnt need to alter them anyway. very cool uniform!! :D pink blouse with grey skirt and blazer. wahahahaha.

took 61 to raffles city after tt. shopped for my heels. walked from raffles city to citylink to suntec to millenia to marina sq and then to centrepoint. ate cheesy curry chicken, fried mars bar at raffles city, blueberry bagel at starbucks at millenia, and finally curry rice and bacon with asparagus at cuppage! haha. damn nice dinner but damn full.

finally found the right pointed heels at centrepoint robinsons. :( spent 80+bucks on it when im broke now. argh. and have to buy a suitable bag for the uniform. haha. spend so much. and cosmetics! tsk tsk. oh! we saw quite alot of celebrities today. jeff wang and tt gay bryan at raffles city, alan tern!!!! i only got to see back view and priscilla smth at marina sq. :x

IMF training

IMF training finally ended. freaking 2 days long ok. was very stuffed during these 2 days. 2 tea breaks and buffet lunch over 10hours of training. had shir with me on the first day of training, den was informed tt i will be stationed at City Hall's shuttle bus area where all the delegates muz pass by to get their badges. and im a Venue Assistant! which means i get to wear tt nicer uniform :D
oh and training programs were super sian and dry. i fell asleep on most of the 'lectures' and almost everyone at training were playing bingo with their nice paper and nice pens. ahahah. anyway tea breaks were nice with the nice milked tea i missed for 2 years. haha. and nice finger food like siew mai, ebi, chicken baos and char siew bao, courtesy of SMG. :]

went brainwave with shir to visit ms feng and realised it's teachers' day soon so we bought royce chocolates and some choco from candy empire and BK dinner b4 gg. was fun. played bingo too. haha. good ol' days.

Comex is here again! gotta give flyers till sunday to earn some keep. but anyway,

End of exams

EXAMS ARE OVERRRRRRRRRRR!

yeah. was so bloody tired and sleepy today morning b4 paper. everyone dreads SM. not motivated to study (unlike marcom) and was so lethargic. i think i did quite badly for the paper :X hope can pass lah. haha. had cup noodles for lunch with beak at the new Cheers at NP bus stop. quite cool store with 'NP Chilled Choco', a fridge for choco bars. haha. went home and napped for a while before meeting Splat! at Raffles City. enjoyed listening to class95 on the way there :D

B1 of Raffles city revamped and it was enlarged. haha. so many cool shops! and food outlets! had beer battered fish for a snack b4 dinner as we were friggin' hungry. beak came and we went Din tai fung for dinner. okok lah. shld have ate at Bakerzin instead. walked ard for a while to digest before going Bakerzin for cakes. had rose tea and mango mousse. great time chatting over there. went home at 10 and here i am :]

no more studying! (at least for 7 weeks) and its comex and IMF and maybe working for FS and rest b4 sch starts again :D

how cool! Goggle collaborated with Blogger! blogging are becoming so easy nowadays, thanks to technology. hurhur. wad's with the collaborations huh. first it's ebay with skype, with paypal, now this. and next up vPOST with eBay (first-hand info from vpost ppl!) hahah! power of e-marketing. heh.

speaking of e-marketing. today's the first paper (EM i mean, duh) and well, hope that i can pass this paper. manageable paper but i did not put my heart and soul into stuyding it. crappy content. at least SM and MARCOM are way better. anyway, yey! worst paper has ended! and i quit studying for today and im gonna study full force tmr! marcom is very impt to me as i intend to go into advertising line as an alternative from my dream job now :D so Sales Mgmt will be my first priority, the last paper.

it's a good 1.5weeks since i last update. let me update on some things.
i finally dl-ed GoggleTalk! wad a cool IM program. very exclusive contacts too :] heh. oh. and im hooked on Class95 lately, and i temporary ditched my ipod nano for Cartunes! weekdays, 5-8pm. vernetta lopez's lunctime programme is also very nice! hahaha. hmm yah and that's about it. same routine this week. study and study and study. oh and i love to sleep when i hit the books. that's not a good thing. and i nearly fell asleep during today's paper, if not for the ached left hand.

IP finally ended on 11/08 at 12.30pm. hard work finally paid off during the presentation. i cant say that we're the best (we're not anyway) but we're definitely not the worst. in the presentation room i had more fun with other classmates than my group mates. oh and the cock-ups we had were that i missed out Motivation topic in my slides all thanks to that woman, and she kinda blamed me. but i managed to pull it off by explaining it verbally. they had cock-ups too! as usual their lousy presentation skills. at least my presentation skills are not as bad as theirs. they had lousy english, or shld i say singlish, while at least im not as nervous as before. oh talk abt the fun part with classmates. between intervals me, clarence, clara and jephthah were chatting abt movies and they had Click in their laptop but too bad i didint bring mine. and i talked to them more than anyone in my group that morning. oh and initially the class wanted to take a class photo but none of them gathered the class. and den my groupmates left one by one. while we were at canteen preparing for the presentation that woman actually brought her cam but all she wanted to shoot was her TVC board, her hand-drawn work :( and i didnt say bye to my group after the presentation. yup i guess this will be the last time we're cooperating together. never ever.

slept for about 10 hours last night and was late meeting kaiqi and sher in sch to study. im hardworking yeah? studying the very next day of IP. hhah. had sandwich for lunch and headed to proj room. ok we were very restless today and studied for abt 2 hrs only. and den we went JE for fishball noodles. :( i got conned by the new fruit juice store. freaking $2.50 for a cup of orange juice in a hawker! @#!$%^ bad service somemore. very normal juice selling at shopping centre rates! oh and kaiqi wasn't feeling well recently so i acc her to see a doc. freaking $56 just bcos she requested for a stronger med! omg.

had to rush home cos of the national day dinner at central. my family, aunt, uncle and cousin walked to st 91 and was late for dinner. hurhur. saw MPs for nanyang, ex-MP John Chen who sang very well and hamburger MP Peter Chen. the current MP sucks though. cant sing, not popular also. haha. oh dinner sucks. not even restaurant quality. booo. and we didnt win anything from the lucky draw! dinner ended at 11pm. and sunday will be another studying day :]

ok im tied up with projects projects and more projects this week. print ads! taxi ads! marcom! SM! shite. nothing's done and we have to present it on friday. hurhur. blazer day! hhaha.

Friends

it's so sentimental tonight! first it's jazz on Sg idol, den read sher's post on some touchy-feely subject on friends! so shall i start one too? lol. here goes.

i have to admit that i dun really have any major problems with the getting to know friends. when it comes to knowing new friends, everything is just so smooth that i'll start to wonder if i'll get to meet all the nasty ones next time when i work. my first long-time friend will be shirleen! omg. haha. exactly 10 years of friendship and still counting. hmm and i think this friendship is the 'wierdest' of all. instead of 10 years, 3 out of 7 days every week for 8 years to be exact. oh and it's 2 hours per day! hurhur. and we dun usually talk! we 'email'! hahaha. longest friend. and we ended up in the same sch after 8 years of tuitioning. :D shir if u're reading, good luck for ur interview! drive me out for a spin someday ok?

and of cos the most important friend will be luah khai geeeeeeeee! ha! i've watched u grown tall (sec1), grown thin in sec 2, grown fat ever since (LOL), grown pretty ok! grown.. intelligent! wahaha. everything since sec1! we're superglued together!

yah. and i always meet great ppl wherever i go. primary sch there's jieqi (whom i lost contact now), and there's loads to mention in sec sch. but it's always narrowed down to great pals like kaiqi, meiyan, jiaxin, and blah blah blah. a few hiccups when i quarrelled with some others. but wad's over is over.

poly! as i become more mature (which i think i only became mature in year 2) im starting to treasure friendship more. i took it for granted that i'll always meet good ppl. but there's some not-so-good ppl in year1. yeah. and of cos there's sher,beak, peiwen, michelle in year 1, and excluded beak (for FIT) in year 2. VERY GREAT PROJECT MATES. we were like suited for projects! no quarrels, no hiccups like free riders and stuff like that. we got mostly As for our project! although it's quite disheartening that pw and mich and us sort of went our own paths, im sure we'll try to meet up someday.

and of cos being in TB17 for my last year in poly is not so bad after all. although i think my proj grp is kinda dysfuntioning, the rest of the classmates rock! they are all funny ppl. and i think i will have to save up $$ for the A'Farmosa trip after this sem with them :D i guess spending one more sem with them will not be a problem.

and of cos God sent me a great clique to accompany me for my whole poly life. SPLAT! u guys rock my world. im actually secretly hoping that sher will give up her iap so that SPLAT! can spend our last semester in poly tgt. but of cos it's her own choice at the end of the day. all the best for your interview too! im always looking forward to hangouts after sch. favourite ones will be porridge, holland v and swensens ice cream! argh basically anything as long as there's full attendance!

lastly and most importantly, kaiqi! jiaxin! meiyan! (yah we dun have a name :P) you guys rock my sock!! i'd be nothing without you guys! \m/

woah. long post. and all i want to say is that i really treasure everyone that is mentioned above. thank God i met them.

studies

work started to pile up now. with integrated presentation starting on 10aug directly after national day, which is like 2+ weeks from now, my grp have not even started anything yet. all the small small presentations are a chore.

driving last thurs was great. no more major stalling of vehicle anymore. thanks to crocs. more comfy than havaianas. hahaha. u-turned for the first time and practiced handbrake at red light. oh my tp date is on 8 january 2007! wth. 5 mths away!

oh. and me and kaiqi are starting to get the hang of exercising. my lousy stamina only got me running jogging 4 rounds of 400m. im aiming to get 3 or 4 points for my 2.4km napfa next sem :D

Pirates of the Caribbean- Dead Man's Chest was great. i'd give it a 3.5-4 out of 5 stars. ok i suck at movie reviews. but the show's quite funny, or rather johhny depp was funny. very gross scenes also. nice! oh and there was a little incident in the cinema. at a scene where the black pearl was firing canon at the octopus-like sea monster, i was telling kaiqi 'eh i can also smell gunpowder here leh' den i realise ppl were all turning their heads looking at the back. den i realise that something was going on. wasted my 2mins of climax part. we nearly had to be evacuated out! damnit. stupid GV. hmm next i want to watch Superman!

there's this few incidents today that set me pondering- am i really such an irritating person to this particular groupmate? it's somehow disturbing. i swear i will not be in the same group next semester. :(

i was so disappointed in myself yest during driving. i actually stalled for like 10 times in 2 hours?! can u believe it? i only stalled for like 5 times on my first lesson and i actually stalled double of it in my 3rd lesson?! argh. wasn't concentrating i guess (excuses). i swear i will not stalled again during the next lesson. FYI, the engine stalls when one releases the clutch too suddenly just after moving off from stationary. poor kaiqi waited for 2 hours by taking bus rides and we went CWP for pasta after that. my legs were jelly and was so tired after driving. guess i need to exercise my legs more.

oh! pay's here soon. so i can get my running shoes and go to the gym! hahaha. gotta shred the 4kgs i gained. oh! passed FTT on thurs. on my way to TP test in dec! ahaha.

watched America's Sweetheart on channel 5 just now. John Cusack is so hawt!!! heh. look abit like keanu reeves though. but more charming. :D

Grandma's Passed Away

mum told me that grandma's in SGH again. i tot it's nothing very serious as she's often in and out of the hosp. i didnt visit her due to projects.

Thursday

mum went to the hosp directly after work as my grandma slipped into comatose due to wound infection. thought of visiting her on fri nite or sat. 4am. after finish consolidating the surveys in Excel, mum came into my room saying that the doctor wants to send her into ICU as her condition worsened. 40deg fever. dad,mum,aunt and uncle reached hosp at 7am. just as they were discussing with the doc whether to admit into ICU (which is like $3k a night) my grandma fought her last battle in the ward. it was 9.23am. mum called me while i was asleep at home. at a loss, i dunno why but i went ahead to get my PDL and went for a haircut and serviced my dad's phone before going to the funeral that was set up by noon. it was our first time being so lost. with all relatives including ourselves being non-christians, we had to handle a christian funeral. honestly i'd prefer a christian funeral. everything was much simpler. no jossticks, no incense paper, no prists and no saddening rituals. oh yah. christian funeral is also more affordable than buddhist's. like 2 or 3 times cheaper.

all relatives and guests need to do was to bow, and can look at her body which was optional, and can sit down and catch up with other relatives. we family members can also go around serving guests and chat with them this way. my dad's youngest sis, i.e. my youngest aunt, was so kind as she and her husband came 3 days straight, up till today when the funeral ended. she even consoled my when my grandma is being pushed into the flames. some of my dad's side ppl (whom my mum always talk bad about) came to send my grandma off. and not even 1 from my mum's real sisters (this grandma adopted my mum) came.

church friends were also very,very kind. although my grandma only joined a year ago, quite alot of ppl from the church (cell group?im not sure) came. some even cried more than us. very generous with 'white gold' also. the pastor's mum, who was my grandma's good friend since, helped us alot. had to choose my grandma's tablet, or wad u call tt piece of granite with cravings and picture on it. it was on promotion, $580. hurhur. black granite with italy-processed picture and mandai's very own marble urn.

Friday

Cremation day. most of us slept in the tent near my grandma last night. had breakfast and lunch b4 some guests came for the cremation. there's quite alot of services held by the pastor, although i dun understand alot. but i always cry when Amazing Grace was sang. we all walked behind the coffin van.. and it was amazing grace again. got up the bus and headed off to mandai. it was like the condo for the deceased. went to the service hall for the last service.. and the place was like WHOA. high-tech. den after placing white flower on the coffin, we had to once again stand in a row and relatives and friends shook our hands b4 we heads to the viewing hall. another WHOA room. instead of the usual procedure where there will a conveyor belt pushing coffin into huge flames that were visible, this time we stood by the glass panels and at the bottom, the coffin was being moved slowly by a machine into a dark hole where fire cannot be seen. we were told to say 'byebye' to grandma. everyone cried.

proceeded to the resting hall where we had drinks and toilet break. nice toilet with the 1st cubicle for kids with the mini toilet bowl. den we proceeded back to the bus and came back to grandma's hse and cleared everything. everything ended.

my grandma's feet were rather deformed, not sure if it was due to diabeties or she got abused by my great-grandma. having difficulty to walk, she spent most of her time treating her forever wounded feet, going hosp to checkup and coming home with hundreds of pills to pop. i remember helping her to pop out the medicines and placed them in bottles. she used to be a devout buddhist, often goes to the temple for the prayers session whenever she can. until last year, after one particular hospital stay, she knew this young handsome doctor who was from Trinity Christian Church. he introduced her into christainity, and to our surprise she converted from buddhist to christian and was even baptisted. honestly i was disppointed in her and i thought she changed, until wad i heard from the pastor's mum today. she said my grandma always pray for us, her children and grandchildren at the church instead of herself. and that she became a more cheerful person ever since, and always show up whenever she can with a smile on her face. oh and it was a pity that this doctor happened to be overseas at the moment and cant send my grandma off. my grandma doted on me most out of the 5 grandchildren, partly due to my late grandfather's love for me when he's alive. i did not reciprocate her love for me.

and it saddens me whenever innocent children ask those questions. my 5 yr old cousin was told that 'ah ma is slping inside' but i told her ah ma die liao. but she kept asking when will she wake up and come back. yesterday while trying to slp, she asked me how will ah ma get wind from the fan when she's enclosed. and she kept looking at her body, asking why ah ma is inside. and when i ask her if she loves ah ma, she nodded her head and said 'ai'. just now after the whole thing ended, she asked 'where's clementi ah ma?' =(( she still cant understand that her younger aunt, my aunt is going to be living alone from now on. i've not heard from my grandma for abt a mth. and i realised that she's gone b4 she can finish the meat floss cracker i bought in KL.


Bye Bye, Grandma. I'll miss you.

School Tomorrow

school's starting tmr already. no momentum to study after 3 weeks of break. hmm. and these 2 days were my last weekend. spent my saturday at pioneer mall macs with kaiqi and jiaxin to finish our respective project. did my background for marcom. saw angela there. den at ard 9pm we took a cab to HV for dinner and chilling session. got so pissed by the cabby who went by PIE when AYE is obviously nearer. =( but the night was saved when we went essential brew. very little ppl there and as usual we gossiped like there's no tmr. went off at 1.45am before they chase us off. took a cab back home and we thought we're doom. that uncle took a shortcut and drove past holland road which was bloody deserted and quiet and dark. lucky we saw the familiar bt timah stretch. in my mind i was ready to shout for help and struggle and stuff like that already. haha. that uncle turned out to be a friendly one. hurhur.

sunday. woke up at freaking 3pm since nobody woke me up. went 3rd aunt's hse with my parents and off we go to bt panjang. apparently there's this particular drain in the park that emits very very clean water from a pipe that came from dunno where. no residue, no signs of milkiness in the water. juz boil it and drink it :D the park is behind greenridge sec.. and erm yah that whole trolley u see my 3rd aunt pushing all belonged to my mum. she brought along all the containers she can find in the hse. had dinner near BBDC and went home.

KL Trip

ok im back from the KL trip. everything was not going our way during the 3D2N there.

1st day:
cabbed down to GMC with sher and qi and reached at 7.30am. met beak there and we waited for the bus till 8am when it arrives. not bad a bus, i can say. only the seats have reclining problem. air-con was good. we had 2 single and 2 doubles btw. sucks.

there were jams here and there, and we arrived at Berjaya only at 3pm. a freaking 7hrs! omg. went to our room only to see some red, unknown stains on the toilet bowl at sher and qi's room. and their curtains. aircon at the living room was spoilt too. so we managed to change a room. to the 19th floor. worst scenery anyone can get from a five-star, 2bedroom suite hotel. at least all were well. BUT the tv wasn't working. so by the time everything were ready it was abt 5+pm. found our way and walked to Lot10. very very disappointed with the shops there. only bought 2 Cadbury Gold for Doris and myself at the Isetan there and beak changed her swatch strap.

walked ard all hotels nearby just to look for intl buffet dinner, but none of the hotel offered any. even poshy hotels like marriot doesn't have one. we saw this Eden restaurant opposite and the banner said they offer intl buffet. so we waited at O'Briens beside Eden. had Esprit and waited till 6.30pm for the restaurant to open. but in the end they didnt serve the buffet on Tuesdays. den we walked all the way back to marriot hotel to take a cab back to berjaya, but there were traffic jam so taxi driver dropped us at parkroyal. lucky us!! after their hotel visit at Sg's parkroyal sher recognised their Chatz restaurant and we checked it out. INTL BUFFET!! at a price pf RM55++! so cheap. and the food were nice! great dinner. great company! lol.

went back to our hotel and i bathed b4 we all went to the Broadway lounge to watch soccer. very little crowd. we expected more. =/ watched from 12am all the way till 2am. lousy match also. had Heineken. lol. very nice. i fell asleep on tt sofa and me and beak went back to hotel to slp while they 2 stayed and watch the 3am match.

2nd day:
got woken up by sher and beak at 9am. wahahaha me and qi slept alot. had their buffet breakfast. lousy. den we went to KLCC! we didnt intend to buy anything there, so we kinda window shopped ard. had A&W for lunch. quite good, but the waffle was bad. great root beer float! and den we bought 6 Dunkin' Donuts! i threw away 4 just now since its 2 days already and im too full to eat them. had to take train back to berjaya as the taxi drivers were trying to extort us tourists. RM8 there and they were trying to get RM15 for our return trip! fuck them lousy Proton taxis! no aircon and cramped backseats i rather pay more to take Comfort cabs! we took train back, and it costs us RM3 with aircon but slower lah. damnit. and their Putra line to Monorail connection sucks! we had to walk thru a non aircon paveway to find the monorail station. =[

Bought movie tickets to Cars at Berjaya b4 gg back to hotel. oh the tea leaf eggs shops are all closed! damnit. and we did manicure at berjaya. the not-so-french manicure. went Cosmos World to use up our theme park ticket. whahaha we got hooked on the bumper car rides we kept running back to queue up like little kids. LOL. sher got addicted to it. den went to watch Cars at 6.45pm b4 gg back to cosmos again. the movie was so-so leh. not really nice. Shrek was nicer than this. oh did i mention the movie tickets were cheap?? it's RM7! omg it's like more than S$7 here ok. and the posh-ness is ard the same. BUT the food service was lousy! no sweet popcorn, no salted one was available. =[

watched world cup in our room while waiting for sher and beak at their spa session. we were hungry and were craving for soupy food, but room service was f-ing expensive so we made do with the wierd cup noodles at 7-11. super lousy service there! omg! and i nearly died eating tt cup noodles. freaking RM3 somemore. come to think of it lucky im not food poisoned. =/ haha den we all fell asleep snoring on the couch while waiting for the 3am match. haha den went back to room to slp.

last day:
had the lousy breakfast again. ok lah it was better on the last day, but not as nice like last nov's. packed our bags and checked out and took our 200RM deposit to shop for local products. oh. baggage service was good! but we had to take a lousy bus back to singapore, but i managed to fall asleep for like 2 hrs till yongpeng where the bus really broke down like wad i've cursed. aircon was spoilt. waited for 1.5 hrs for another bus to come. WOW. worth the wait. super posh bus with leather seats. uncle sped thru all the way till custom, and we arrived in singapore at ard 10+. reached home at 10.45pm sharp. =)))

I LOVE SINGAPORE!!!!! BEST COUNTRY ON EARTH! cos we do not have any kampong and old houses beside any five star hotels! no extortion from taxi drivers and we have BIG taxis! we have cheaper stuff in Singapore during GSS! I LOVE U SINGAPORE! and I LOVE SPLAT! :D

today:
had dinner at JP with qi after getting our fathers' day present at Crocodile. Crystal Jade! we used up the $30 voucher and had dinner there. very nice! and good service there. thumbs up! recommended crystal jade outlet ;)

it's 12june today! which means our Splat! KL trip is tmr! wahahahaha. we ( or at least me) are so excited abt it i think i wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

A Good Deed

just now while working, i received a call from this customer who's so poor thing. apparently she just came back from KL, and i think her family all drove home already, but she realised she left her video camera on the coach. den she went to GMC, only to realise tt the bus came over to boon lay already. they're panicky i guess. who wouldn't? a freaking $1k++ video cam. den she called to ask how to reach boon lay from dunno AYE or PIE, den i gave her the directions while a colleague went to stop the bus b4 it goes into malaysia. i gave her the AYE directions, but i think she's on PIE =X wrong already. luckily we found her camera. she reached at 10pm, exactly the time we were abt to close. the lady hasn't eaten since alighting from the KL coach, and they thanked us profusely like nobody's business. this incident brightened up my day i dunno why. i wonder if they will write the letter to jane peck. hahahaha.

im procrastinating to start on my IBS sales scenario report =/ and i cant find sales manager that sells things on-the-go. anybody can help? and have to complete marcom project. sigh. alot ah. but it's less than a week to KL!!!! woohoo!!!

Im really neglecting my blog. anyway, my common test is over! i think i screwed the paper, but i got the ethic population percentrage correct! so happy. but im praying for a just-pass. and working at gunung raya for 2 weeks starting to day to earn some keep for my KL trip. WE ARE ALL BROKE NOW!

on the other hand, im very shocked and shaken at the 9/11 conspiracy video on jon's blog (u can click Jonathan at my Links if u are interested in the vid). watching the video at 3am in the morning is very very scary. i hope this is not true, although im believing it. very very shocked. u all shld watch it.

on a lighter note, YEY! we're going KL!!! again! yes. with splat! this time. and probably with the entrepreneurship ppl. woohoo! im starting to feel very excited and it's abt 1 week away! 9 days to be exact. wahaha. wahaha.

finally completed the proposal. my first ever year 3 project with my new group mates. not a good thing, really. my grp is the only 5-member as compared to the other 3 groups with 4 in each team. Yet, workload is the most for me. 1 went taiwan holiday-ing without emailing us her promised Introduction. another 1 using 1st person term to type, and works really s..l..o...w... in the end it;s double workload for me. the other 2 were good. i dun really have to edit anything. 1 even did her part from 12am yest night till 7am this morning. nearly cocked up when my laptop cannot add the network printer at level 5. but luckily heng ping was there and she brought along thumbdrive, which i conveniently have forgotten to bring. sher help me by gg level 6 to print instead. phew. thanks ppl! paid the binding fee myself ($#%^@#$#) and den submit myself. no grp mate was around. sigh. i can predict the level of stress-ness i am going to get for future projects =/

im broke! went town after completing my part of the project with qi. she went to cut her hair finally. den she bought 2 shirts and we both bought the same braziliano praia. NP students get 20% off! saved $10 on tt. wahaha. yup. so we went home like a happy kid :)

Vesak Day

i guess nobody will really 'celebrate' vesak day lah. happy extra public hols instead =]

Cocktail party was quite fun afterall, and i went home and took a quick bath and off i went to JP to meet shir. our plan for the day was to go tuition centre to visit our tutor. den we had mos burger. gratin burger was nice! den met up with lek hao and weixian at tuition centre. there were no lights at from the staircase area,and to our horror! turned out that students and teachers went for their post-mid yr exams break liao. =/ wasted trip + wasted famous amos cookies.

went to shir's hse. saw elliot!! soOoOoO cute! a baby in a family really makes a diff. whaahah. cute cute cute. den we pumped air for her bicycles and went cycling ard her estate. bored till we went to count how many houses are there in the whole yunnan estate. LOL. we stopped at 129!! the border. shall continue and count the insides the next time we cycle again :D. cool. cycled for abt an hour. den after a while her mum drove me home :D thanks! what a consolation for not able to see our tutor :P

Eve of Labour Day

eve of labour day! went to science centre's Sakura International Buffet with my family, aunt, uncle and cousins just now. waited for like 1+hour b4 it's our turn cos my dumb mother didn't call to reserve seats for the 9 of us. yeap. my first time having buffet at Sakura. Service was not bad although most of the waitresses are young malay girls, just like pizza hut. 9 of us had to be separated into 5 table of 2s. there's alot of varieties, even more than Seoul Garden. from sashimi, to sushi, some overcooked fusilli with ham and cheese, grilled lamb,chicken and beef steak, otah and satay, grilled dory fillet (very delicious), claypot drunken prawns(was good too), claypot black chicken, fresh oysters and prawns, oily ebi, nuggets, and dim sum like lou mai kai and siew mai. creamy mushroom soup were very nice. desserts were good. lots of ice cream flavour in tubs and puddings, mini NY cheese cakes, mini oreo cheesecakes, alot of other mini cakes, and fruits like longan and grapes. drinks were good, like hot milo,cuppucino,espresso, fruit punch, orange juice and coke etc.

i found the $26 not very worth it as i didnt really eat much. a few mouthfuls here and there. but i muz praise the ordering system. 4 clips with our table number attached are given to us. and if u want something that needs the chef to cook, like grilled dory fillet for example, u just place the clip on the thin metal pole at the food there. cooked ones will be served to u in a short while and the clips will be returned to u. wonderful isn't it? quite a good system. but food weren't exactly as nice.

we went IMM after that and shopped at Giant. super long queue and we waited for 45minutes before paying up our groceries=/ alot of waitings today.

sch started on monday. =/ new semester, new classmates. i dunno anybody in my class before E-mkting lecture, but got to know a girl in my class after the REAL Programme briefing. my class's major project will be vPost. training to be held at Singpost HQ at paya lebar on this fri morning. sigh. I hate changes, too.

Holidays

my holidays were spent quite fulfilling. and i realised there's alot of things one can do without working, getting salary and stuff like that. before the start of holidays, i was insisting that we shld get a job so that time can pass faster and we can buy new clothes and bags for the coming sch term. then up till now den i realised that days can pass quite fsat too, without working. though we will be poorer in terms of $$ as compared to those who work during hols, we gained alot. haha. talking abt opportunity costs.

this hols, i've went kboxing, alot of mahjong sessions, swimming, watched korean drama (HK one next), sleep like i nv sleep b4, worked for IT show and erm well, 1 day natas ( and earned $400 i think), aimless shopping trips and window shopping, reformatted my laptop, read 2 books, nono. 4 books instead. A child called It, The Lost boy, A man named Dave, and DS's Johnny Angel, bought a new hp, grocery shopped, cleaned my toilet, did hsehold chores and im gg to watch Internal Affairs (I II III) from sher later. oh and i muz buy crocs this hols. hahah.

results were not very good as usual, but i think i deserved it. and i got into marketing and tourism acad subplan B, which sucked. and im gg to appeal. yes. into tourism.

Life is great, at the moment. =]
